Research Facts - Faculty of Biology and Medicine
The successful research is confirmed by a number of international rankings, including the Times Higher Education Ranking (2018), where LMU is ranked 34th worldwide in the field of biological research and 1st in Germany.
The following picture shows all recent research projects sponsored by the German Research Foundation (DFG), the EU, the Federal Ministry of Education and Research of the Federal Republic of Germany (BMBF) or the Elite Network of Bavaria (ENB). The spokesperson for each project is either at the Faculty of Biology or Medicine at LMU. All projects are within the scope of the five maintopics of the Elite Master’s Program “Human Biology – Principles of Health and Disease”.
