02 Application

Please read the requirements carefully before you start your application. The application period for the Master of Science program in “Human Biology – Principles of Health and Disease” starting in October 2022 (winter semester 2022/23) will probably be from February 1 until March 31, 2022. An online application is mandatory (you do not have to submit an application or paper copy by regular mail).

Applicants who did not obtain their bachelor’s degree in Germany AND are non-German citizens are required to submit a second, separate application to the LMU Office of International Affairs, by July 15, 2022.

The aptitude assessment at the Faculty of Biology and the application to the International Office are two independent processes, with different application deadlines.

The International Office reviews the qualifications obtained abroad in order to certify whether the applicant is eligible to study at LMU Munich. The Faculty of Biology assesses the aptitude of the student and subsequently decides on the admission to the master’s program.
